Green synthesis of CuO NPs, characterization and their toxicity potential against HepG2 cells

Abstract In this study, copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) were green synthesized using the leaf extract of Momordica cochinchinensis (Lour.). Various characterization techniques such as Energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Ultraviolet Visible (UV–vis) Spectroscopy, diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Fourier-transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy utilized to study formation CuO NPs. DLS TEM analysis revealed sphere-shaped NPs with mean particle size 56 nm. Additionally, prepared incubated Hepatic (HepG2) cells check their cel viability evaluate reactive oxygen species (ROS). The results current work exhibited a concentration-dependent decline in HepG2 half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) value 75 μ g ml −1 . cytotoxic effect was responsible for cell apoptosis well ROS induction cells. Further, could act possible chemotherapeutic agent treatment liver hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) future.
